Ans. the centre of gravity can be outside the material of the body

Ans. The center of gravity for the following figures as follow:

(a). Rectangular lamina – become at the point of intersection of there diagonals.
(b). Cylinder- the axis of cylinder at the midpoint of cylinder.

(a) A triangular lamina and
(b) A circular lamina?

Ans. (a) . A triangular lamina intersection of the medians at the point where intersect.
  ( b). Circular lamina at the circular lamina center .

Que-4: Where is the center of gravity of a uniform ring situated?

Ans. The center is defined the  gravity of a uniform ring which is situated at the center of the ring.

Que-5: State whether the following statements are true or false.

(i) ‘The position of centre of gravity of a body remains unchanged even when the body is deformed’
(ii) ‘The centre of gravity of a freely suspended body always lies vertically below the point of suspension’.

Ans. (1). False.
