Brutus Commented to Cassius over His Writing Manner

On opening of the scene , Brutus welcome Titinius and Pindarus who have just arrived from Cassius’ camp carrying an important message. Now Brutus recieves the letter and starts reading it.  During reading Cassius letter Brutus does a mistake of commenting him in front of his own servant Pindarus. He discuss this mistake by saying his friend Lucilius that how Cassius treated him in such rude manner,

Cassius Comes With  Army to Brutus Camp

After some time Cassius comes with his army to Brutus camp, the two leader agree to have a private meeting in Brutus’ tent to discuss the matter, They told to Lucilius and Titinius to take position as guard at the entrance. This sets the stage for the famous “Quarrel Scene” between the two friends and leaders of the conspiracy against Caesar.

Brutus Urge Cassius to Tell His Complain in Private

The dispute begin from wronged feeling observed by Brutus from Cassius letter in some doubtful way. Brutus do not speak any word to cover wrongs statement he has commented against Cassius. He urge Cassius to tell his complaints calmly and quietly in private, not to in front of their armies so that all can see our unity only.

Brutus Explain His War Strategy

Brutus explain his war plan to Lucilius earlier, Brutus commented that how friends can grow apart and use “an enforced party” instead of true affection. He comparing them to the horses that make bravery but lack true zeal. These argument clear that there is growing dispute between Cassius, and Brutus.
