On the website, the Council has clearly indicated which topics have been reduced in July, which are being done now and the syllabus of which other subjects have remained unaltered.

“There has been a significant reduction in some subjects which will benefit the students. In English literature, in both classes X and XII, only one prose and one poem were reduced in July. But now, another set of poem and prose has been removed from the syllabus. Together, this is a huge waiver for the candidates. In class X (ICSE) the entire Fifth Act of the Merchant of Venice has been removed, which will also give some relief to the worried students. Similarly, in Biology, for both ICSE and ISC the quantum of reduction will be beneficial. This is a student-friendly decision which has been taken by the Council,” said the principal of Ram Mohan Mission School, Sujoy Biswas

The CISCE has already directed ISCE and ISC board-affiliated schools to ensure that the concerned subject teachers transact the syllabus strictly as per the sequence of topics as mentioned in the revised structure.
