Macbeth Summary of Act-5, Scene-5
This scene take place in Dunsinane castle. The scene 5 of Act 5 visualize the downing of Macbeth’s power as he faces the bad result of his wrong actions done in past.
Fortified His Castle for Safety
Macbeth think a plan to defeat English army within Dunsinane castle. He believes he can challenge his enemies through a fortified, hoping they will die due to starvation and disease. Despite his outward defiance, Macbeth reveals his inner anxiety and loneliness, crying the desertion of his troops and the cheating of his thanes.
Death of Lady Macbeth
In the stressful environment Suddenly, the cries of women within the castle disturb the scene. After investigating, Seyton returns with the bad and shocking news of Lady Macbeth’s death. He stunned to hear this news suggesting that her death was inevitable and should have happened later, This reaction clearly indicate his emotional de attachment and growing more loneliness .
