Winter Holidays: As per report The cold started from November as a mild pink cold. However, according to the Meteorological Department, the effect of western disturbance will end soon in next week. The minimum temperature is likely to drop by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in the next few days. Due to this, the cold in the state may increase further.
According to earlier report each year winter vacation starts from 25th of December to 5th of January 2024. This is a common schedule for all Board school of CISCE including CBSE and other State Board.
There May be Severe Cold in January- IMD
IMD New Delhi, As official (IMD)announcement there may be more cold in January than cold in December due to global disbalance. Hence school authority has reserve power to change the schedule of winter vacation as per requirement of weather depending on the region and weather conditions. Therefore the main winter vacation may be fall in January than in December, said sources.
States like Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand often align these holidays with the colder months to ensure students can avoid the peak of the winter chill.
State Board and CBSE Follows Same Pattern
Many states across India have announced school holidays for December, with most schools closing towards the end of the month to mark the winter break for the 2024-2025 academic session.
