Solution: Car covers in 4.5 hours = 276.75 km
It will cover in 1 hours = ?
= 276.75 ÷ 4.5
= 27675 ÷ 450 [converting into like decimals]
= 61.5 km
speed of car = 61.5 km/hr
7. 2.25 m of a cloth costs ₹326.25. What is the cost of 1 m of cloth?
Solution: CP of 2.25 m cloth = ₹326.25
CP of 1 m cloth = ?
= 326.25 ÷ 2.25
= (326.25/2.25)
= (32625 × 100)/(225 × 100)
= (3262500/22500)
= 145 ₹
8. The product of two numbers is 52.8. If one of them is 8.25, find the other.
Solution: Product of two numbers = 52.8
First number = 8.25
Second number = ?
= 52.8 ÷ 8.25
= 5280 ÷ 825
= 6.4

9. How many equal pieces, each of length 3.6 cm can be cut from a rope of length 61.2 cm?
Solution: Total length of a rope = 61.2 cm
