Que-1: Why does Tithonus call the boon of his immortality cruel?

Ans: Tithonus call the boon of his immortality cruel because he became too old to die . He can not enjoy the boon due to weakness of old ages Hence feels the boon as a non ending curse .

Que-2: Describe the place where Tithonus lives with Aurora, the goddess of dawn.

Ans: The place where Tithonus lives with Aurora,is in the far east where it is always misty and gloomy. Poet describes it as “the ever-silent spaces of the East, Far-folded mists, and gleaming halls of morn.”Therefore it appear to be a cold, quiet, and dark place covered in dense mist.

Que-3: Explain the circumstances under which Tithonus was granted immortality.

Ans: Tithonus was booned immortality by beautiful Goddess Aurora after he had fallen in love. In his youthful passion and ardour, Tithonus requested Aurora to booned him immortality so he could live happily without ending while She booned him without thinking the result.

Que-4: What similarity is mentioned between the grant of immortality to Tithonus and the way wealthy people give money to someone?

Ans: Both of them are similar on the point task done without deep analysis the consequence in future. The goddess Aurora given immortality without scanning the horrorful result of future.

Ans: The speaker, Tithonus, wants the goddess Aurora to rectify her mistake and take back the gift of immortality because it has become a curse for him. He has grown old and decrepit over time while she remains eternally youthful Tithonus pleads with her to release him from this agonizing existence.

Ans: The appearance of dawn on her chariot is clearly mention in following lines

Thy cheek begins …. ..   flakes of fire.”

It means the Eos goddess cheeks redden, her eyes start shining brightly while the stars fade in the light, her wild horses shake their manes (hair around neck) and pull her chariot, fading the darkness into beam of fire.

Que-7: What is the limitation of the gods that Tithonus points out? When does he realise this?

Ans: Tithonus points out limitations of God that he can not cancel the boons which has been delivevered. When Aurora does not react to his request of cancellation, He understands the circumstances that boon once delivered can not reverse. Therefore he recall a myth “The Gods themselves cannot recall their gifts.”
