She was an old photograph dusted from an album, whitened away, and if she spoke at all her voice would be a ghost.

Question 2. Why was Margot sad?

Answer: She did not like the rain and she remembered the brightness and warmth  of the sun on Earth where it could be seen every day, that’s reason Margot was sad.

Answer: The reaction of the children towards Margot was the children found Margot strange and threaten her. They edged away from her, they would not look at her and she felt them go away.

Question 5. When did Margot react ?

Answer: Margot reacted only when they sang about the sun and the summer did her lips moved as she watched the drenched windows. The sun made her happy and react in some manner.
