What is Percentage

A fractions Expressing with the denominator 100 is called percentage.

Percentage Formula

To determine the percentage, we have to divide the value by the total value and then multiply the resultant by 100

Percentage formula = (Value/Total value) × 100

Converting a Percentage into Fraction

To convert a percent to a fraction, we have to remove the percent sign and divide the given number by 100. And, then we express the fractional form of the percentage in the simplest form.

Converting a Percentage into Decimal

To convert a percentage to a decimal, divide by 100

Converting a Percentage into ratio

  • Simply divide the percentage value by 100 and remove the % sign.
  • Change the Decimal Value to Fraction .
  •  If the Decimal Number in the fraction’s numerator isn’t a whole number simply multiply with 10 till the numerator and denominator is a whole number.
  • Reduce the fraction to the simplest form if required
  • Rewrite the fraction obtained as Ratio simply by replacing the fraction bar with a colon symbol in between
